You will become the subject matter expert on physical failure analysis methods for any given electrical failure. As the PFA Engineer you will be responsible for understanding all relevant analysis methods to identify the visible defects whichisrelated to assembly and test processes. You will also have a detailed understanding of the product package assembly and process flow, to work with Process Integration, Assembly Product, and Test Engineering groups ensuring failures are classified and root cause fixes implemented.Conduct Electrical Characterization· UnderstandPFA techniques available for de-processing failures· Understandassembly and test process· Performelectrical verification to confirm failures· Understandand recommend best known method for de-processing packageProvideData Analysis· Understand backend test flows, qualification methodologies and be able to pull relevant informationConnect with Internal/External Groups· Documentfailure analysis techniques used to isolate failure for other groups· Quickand adaptable analysis and feedback of PFA results to Product, Process Integration, Reliability, Assembly, RMA, and QRA· Ensurethe PFA lab understands best method PFA to acquire results and ensure lab is ready for analysis onnew designs· Co-ordinate RMApertaining toTest and Assembly related problem· Toestablish contacts with QRA on RMA issuesProvideTechnical Expertise· ConductTMO training and FA certificationMaintain Equipment· Coordinatecalibrations (external to Micron)· Procureparts as needed· Coordinatehost vendors to support equipment repairHandle Laboratory· Handle laboratory to align withTS, ISO14001 and OHSAS requirements.· To handle the exhaust and scrubber systems of the FA Lab.· Tomaintainrecords and procedures as per Micron GOPsRequirements.Ph.
