The successful candidate will handle driving analytics to demonstrate NAND-related features on Flash products. This is an excellent career opportunity for a professional with software, firmware or test platform design background and exceptional interpersonal skills.Key ResponsibilitiesAbility to corelate, analyze and create visualizations from various data sources, automate data-collection processes, and report results. Consistently review test results, generate and release Analytics reportsAnalyze large amounts of data, to discover trends and patterns through the life of flash.Make recommendations for future products based on historical data and predict trends.Exposure to statistical tools such as JMP, Spotfire etc will be beneficialWork with memory system architecture and firmware engineers, design test cases to discover the design flaws and firmware bugs related to flash management feature. Develop, conduct and document test plans.Develop test procedure specifications to demonstrate NAND storage subsystem reliability in compliance with industry standards.Implement and execute Flash Endurance & Reliability Test procedures. Ensure 24x7 up-time with proper test utilities automation and test system reliability demonstration.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.Statistical or Mathematics background is a plus.3+ years of experience designing, building and unit testing software and solutionsWorking knowledge in Linux environment, proficiency in Python and/or C/C++Ability to follow and adapt software processes and policies of a NAND Test Platform in a complex user environmentExperience in Flash Memory Technologies is a plusExperience in Data mining, Analysis from a large dataset is an assetFamiliar with standard source control tools such as GIT, Mercurial or SVNExpertise in coding guidelines and review methodsSuperior in written and verbal communicationStrong team player who can collaborate with colleagues and global teamsAdditional InformationWestern Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
