Electrical/electronics/Mech Engineering PURPOSE : Solves complex problems, provides new perspective/existing solutions, assists in policy development. Understands relevant internal/external practices.Independent, minimum direction needed. In depth knowledge/experience in Wiring.Your responsibilities will includeUnderstanding of function concepts:- Review and Lead Wiring design plan that feeds into the project overall plan by working with SI.- Wire, terminal, component selection.Adhering to Tier II governance and roadmap.- Review routing layout by understanding assembly and safety requirement- Monitor target costs at subsystem level as per project scope.- Review sub system design concepts and evaluate the best one to move forward.- Ensure the design(s) developed meet the DFM/ DFA/ DFS and other DVP&R Attributes.- Verify subsystem design against DVP&R requirements at each verification phase.- Review & Release design for tooling and manage risks in the project proactively with cross functional teams- Plan and maintain Design deliverables and System design deliverables at every engineering event.- Conduct subsystem design reviews interfacing with leadership and cross functional teams for gaining alignment at each build.- Work with supplier for design discussions/ reviews at every significant event/ build and provide support for Engineering build/ manufacturing build.- Providing details to sample selection, follow-up & monitoring of sample preparation.- Review PA test plan for sub system performance.- Capture and reuse knowledge at each milestone and at end of project- Lead MVT initiatives execution as per plan.- Able to lead and drive Wiring projects using project management tools/ methodology.- Deliver TCP and TCQ objectives set as per Targets of Specific Category- Design release, tracking issues and documenting key decisions.- Projects Delivery On time, Cost, Quality.- Review & embedment of DfX methodologies in Design- Create and support Standards for Wiring Globally & adherence to the Standards- Lead Strategic initiatives for Wiring team at Global level.Key DeliverablesOn time and Quality for CAD deliveryOn Cost and Quality for Wiring Delivery for product segmentOn Time Delivery to meet project timelinePredictable DeliveryStandard and Design Guide DevelopmentPreferred skills and experiencesTECHNICALOPEX Methodology Wiring Design fundamentalsWiring Codes and Safety Wiring Manufacturing and Execution processDFx, FMEA, DVP, VA/VEMANAGERIAL1.
