QA Engineer - Pre-Trade RiskWe are looking for a talented candidate with several years of experience in quality assurance, software development and/or automated testing to help us build the next generation multi-asset class pre-trade risk system. This position will be at an individual contributor level as part of a collaborative, fast-paced front-office trading technology group.As a member of the QA team, you will work closely with developers to understand application features, create robust comprehensive test plans, and write and execute test framework and test cases. We look for well-rounded candidates with solid analytical skills, an enthusiasm for taking ownership of features, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to communicate effectively.Principal ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end testing initiatives throughout the entire SDLC from project test planning, requirement review, test design, test execution, and test reportingDesign, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable automated test casesPair with software engineers to identify and prevent gaps with automation/regression coverageBe a strong quality advocate, collaborating closely with software engineers, designers, and product managers to release revolutionary productsTake full ownership of and maintain QA environmentWork with developers on improving system testability and creating testing environmentQualificationsBachelor degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in quality assurance and/or software engineeringUnderstanding of electronic trading of equities, futures, options etc.Knowledge of different types of pre-trade risk controls (e.g., price validations, fat finger, etc.)Experience collaborating with programmers and business authoritiesStrong working knowledge and proficiency with UnixExperience with JavaUnderstanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented designExperience with continuous testing and continuous deliveryExcellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills; attention to detailAble to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environmentFlexibility in working hours as part of a global teamKnowledge of agile/scrum methodologies
