JD :Position Overview: As a Patching Engineer at HID, you will be responsible for managing andmaintaining the patching process for both Windows workstations /servers and Linux servers. You willutilize industry-leading tools such as PDQ, SCCM, and InTune to ensure the security and stability ofour server infrastructure. Collaboration with other teams will be a key aspect of this role to ensureseamless integration and alignment with organizational goals.Key Responsibilities:Implement and manage patching processes for Windows workstations /servers and Linux servers.Utilize PDQ, SCCM, and InTune to deploy patches efficiently and effectively.Develop and maintain patching schedules to minimize downtime and maintain systemavailability.Collaborate with other teams to coordinate patching activities and ensure alignment withbusiness requirements.Monitor patching status and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.Conduct regular reviews of patching policies and procedures to optimize effectiveness andcompliance.Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities to proactively address potentialsecurity risks.Document patching processes and procedures for reference and training purposes.Troubleshoot and fix issues that automation fails to resolve by manually log in to servers,workstations and devices and manually resolve vulnerabilities.Track and record exceptions for machines that require vulnerable software.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in patch management for Windows and Linux servers.Proficiency with patch management tools such as PDQ, SCCM, and InTune.Strong understanding of server infrastructure and operating systems.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
