The Ops Sup Analyst 1 is an entry-level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to; record/documentation maintenance, storage & retrieval of records, account maintenance, imaging and the opening of accounts in coordination with the Operations - Core Team. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support.Responsibilities:This role is an individual contributor which involves supporting and mentoring a small Operation Support team through delegating daily tasks and responsibilities as well as recommending new work procedures to help streamline operationsBe a subject matter expert in the process & conduct training, monitor quality and quantity of team workAnalyze operations information and make evaluative judgements to solve problemsResponsible for identifying and resolving routine problems and operational issues with broader departmental impact within established proceduresFacilitate training based on needs of staff within the department and assist with answering staff questions as neededIdentify hiring needs to ensure adequate staffingServe as a backup for manager, as neededAssist with ongoing Lean and process improvement projectsResolve complex problems based on best practice/precedence, escalating as neededAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:At least 5 years of relevant experience in banking Operations & knowledge of banking productsWorking knowledge of financial industry preferredProactive leadership and motivational skillsProven organization and time management skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
