Job Description SummaryLead transformation of Engineering tools for GE – Power Transformer business throughout software development lifecycle stages viz concept, requirement gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesFocus on Engineering Tools:Develop technical rules/guide for design/manufacturing of Power Transformer components.Perform FEA analysis, DFMEA for new change implementation.Design & Develop CAD Automation Tools inline with defined rules.Conduct end user technical training and provide technical support.Focus on Digital Thread Project:Co-ordinate with Engineering & its stake holders for generation of Tool development requirementResponsible for developing engineering processes and reviewing procedures relevant to functional discipline in order to ensure they are in line with strategic business objectivesResponsible for customization and implementation of Windchill.Co-ordinate with application development team, perform code/algorithm review, validate requirement.Be very hands-on and part of engineering team's day-to-day developer activities.Architecture, design, proof-of-concepts and implement projects end to end with high quality.Ability to handle complex projects, large area of scope and complete ownership.Communicating with end users, technical teams and defining technical strategy.Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for new technologies and work with management and development team in bringing new technologies.Lead development phase of Global Engineering applications and support implementation process of PTR Digital Thread Project.Take part in training and implementation of PTR tools in Units.Provide technical support to local plantsAfter completing development of technology specific rules and tools, assist with implementation in the receiving PTR Units.Common:Aware of the company and local EHS policies, rules and standards. Showing exemplary behaviours on EHS.
