Education Counsellor

Job Overview:As an Education Counselor, you will be responsible for guiding students and individuals in their educational journey, providing them with support, advice, and resources to help them make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.Responsibilities:Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to assess their academic performance, interests, and aspirations.Provide guidance on course selection, extracurricular activities, and career planning based on individual strengths and goals.Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and educational institutions to coordinate academic support services and resources for students.Organize workshops, seminars, and informational sessions on topics such as college admissions, standardized testing, and financial aid.Stay informed about current trends, developments, and best practices in education counseling through professional development activities, workshops, and conferences.Build and maintain relationships with college admissions officers, employers, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance opportunities for students.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Certification or licensure in counseling or related field may be required (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor).Previous experience in education counseling, advising, or related field preferred.Strong interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
