Division Profile
Morgan Stanley's Banking Group provides industry, regional and product expertise to corporations, institutions, and government clients in order to develop and execute innovative and customized solutions to the most challenging strategic and financing issues faced in the global marketplace. The Banking Group is comprised of a number of industry groups which work closely with product team members in Mergers & Acquisitions, Global Capital Markets, Real Estate, and other industry groups throughout the Firm to provide relevant market insight, product creativity, and execution expertise to clients. These solutions include initial public offerings; public and private equity and equity-linked financings; mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings; defense advisory assignments; strategic partnerships; public and private debt placements; share repurchases; and hedging, swaps and derivative transactions.
Team Profile
The IBD Business Control Unit within IBD Management supports IBD in executing a variety of strategic, financial and regulatory initiatives, including the client and transaction onboarding process to meet the Firm's regulatory and internal requirements as related to assessments of Know Your Customer (KYC), anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, sanctions and franchise-related matters. This position provides an opportunity to support client onboarding and due diligence process for the IBD and Global Capital Markets (GCM) businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Unit Control within the Investment Banking Division is looking for a Vice President in the Mumbai office who will be responsible for the following:
Building out and overseeing a Mumbai-based team supporting the IBD and GCM client onboarding process
Designing and implementing standardized processes, data governance controls and reporting related to client onboarding
Communicating developments on ongoing initiatives to senior stakeholders
Supporting training efforts related to client onboarding
Supporting additional strategic initiatives and projects for the IBD Management team
Skills Required
Bachelor's degree, with 10+ years of relevant financial industry experience; experience with KYC and anti-financial crimes related regulatory requirements and/or Investment Banking and Capital Markets products a plus
Strong business and analytical skills and ability to demonstrate sound judgment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain positive intra-department and cross-functional working relationships
Solution-oriented, with ability to "think out of the box" and to manage multiple projects and to tight timelines
Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide guidance to junior team members
