This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base. The Role Responsibilities: The role holder will be a part of the new stress testing hub being created in Bangalore. Enterprise stress testing comprises the stress tests required by the Group, regions, country and risk management teams, and other senior stakeholders as required to inform Risk Appetite and the stress tests required by the Bank s regulators. The role requires close partnering with risk specialists both within Business Efficiency and those in other areas including Compliance and Operational Risk to ensure all the necessary steps and measures are being taken to manage risk. Responsibilities also include assisting in the development of new/improved processes, controls and introducing other steps to strengthen the risk, control, efficiency and governance to ensure the necessary reasonable steps are being taken to fully discharge the department s responsibilities The intent of the hub is to primarily run central workstream production tasks and sub-tasks during the running of each Stress Test exercise utilising ITO (Group IT) supported technology and produce management reporting on the same. Business Work closely with all key stakeholders and responsible persons to analyse the existing risk management practices and develop and execute initiatives to close any gaps and strengthen practices to meet the strategy. Responsible for the completion of the Business Unit Risk Assessments Circle with senior management to have a complete list of ORC Carry out detailed walkthroughs and process mapping to identify significant risks and controls Ensure timely coordination with workstream for the required evidence Analysing the evidence and flagging if it s not meeting the Control guideline Undertake the maintenance of Enterprise Risk Management Risk Register Report key risk and control indicators of work streams Oversee the operational risk incident management process to guarantee that timeliness, integrity, and quality control are maintain Processes Support in the execution of reliable processes for capturing the risks across the department to fulfil both 1 st Line and 2 nd Line responsibilities. Working with the risk specialists, support the implementation of improvements to these processes so that residual risks are within acceptable tolerances. People and Talent Work closely with other risk responsible stakeholders/partners developing positive relationships to work better together. Risk Management Maintain appropriate frameworks and procedures for monitoring, identifying, assessing and managing Operational Risks, in accordance with the ERMF. Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group Team Governance Assist in the design, implementation and delivery of effective governance across ST, ensuring all reasonable steps are being taken to discharge responsibilities in compliance with the bank s standards and guidance. Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct behaviours as set out by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct. QUALIFICATIONS: The role holder will have experience in: Regulatory reporting in the financial services industry Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and Banking regulations Working across geographies and time zones Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills Robust skills for qualitative and quantitative analysis e.g. financial and process Excellent academic background, preferably with a degree in a quantitative discipline, such as economics, finance, statistics/mathematics, sciences or engineering Understanding of SCB s key footprint markets will be added plus The role holder should comply with all mandatory e-learning as prescribed from time to time.
