As a GenslerSpecification/BOQ Analyst,you should manage all phases of interiors projects and leading multiple complex projects at the same time. The following responsibilities reflect the core activities of the role although there could be changes in the emphasis of duties as required from time to time.
What you will do
Work with the project teams to support the development of project manuals, budgets and product, materials and systems selection and will be responsible for creating BOQ estimates based on sets drawing and further prepare a detailed budget for the same.
Will do a market analysis in order to know the current rates of the materials before tender preparations by inviting quotations for rate reference and acts as a resource for specification related topics, research, and construction administration issues.
Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques and procedures.
Ability to support a wide variety of project types and design complexities andhave the knowledge of individual trades and subcontractors relevant to interior fit-outs
Will act as a contact for contractors and consultants related to materials, products and systems andmaintain all the documents for total compliance related to design
Demonstrates proficient knowledge of sustainable design principals, codes, material characteristics, construction administration, construction documentation, and industry standardizations as it pertains to construction specifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from accredited school preferred
5 - 10 years (min) of related experience, managing projects and teams
Professional license or certification preferred
Experience with the full project lifecycle, through post-occupancy
Knowledge of building materials, codes, standards and building structures
Basic technical understanding of architectural & interior design
Experience with project management software, such as MS Project, a plus
Working knowledge with Revit preferred
