Senior Backend Engineer - Trading

The Role

We are seeking aSenior Backend Engineerto join our Trading Team! 
We're building a scalable, tax-efficient trading & rebalancing platform for wealth management firms of all sizes. The platform will target sophisticated rebalancing strategies across equities, mutual funds and fixed income products and provide restrictions, equivalents, cash management, and tax budgets.

Our engineering team primarily works in ReactJS, Java, Python and AWS, and we use Agile methodologies to deliver impactful business outcomes. 
What You'll Do

Create and maintain RESTful APIs for web applications.
Design and implement database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity using SQL or NoSQL databases.
Identify and resolve issues in the backend codebase, including performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability problems.
Collaborate with our front-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure efficient communication between the front-end and back-end systems.
Participate in code reviews and write unit tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Write technical documentation for APIs, databases, and other backend components to ensure that the codebase is well-documented and easy to maintain.

Who You Are

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Java Backend Engineer.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of Java and at least one Java application framework (Springboot or Spring)
Must have experience in any one of the public clouds  (AWS, GCP or  Azure).
Good Database and SQL skills.
Good experience with Rest Api's.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to interact with cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Important Note - This role requires working from our Pune office 3 days a week (Hybrid work model)
