And we'll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.How will you make an impact in this role?Assist team leaders and Senior Managers/Managers in the execution of assigned audit tasks in line with IAG methodology, budgets and deadlines for all phases of the audit including planning, fieldwork, reporting and wrap-up;As a self-starter, leverage passion for continuous innovation to drive organizational improvements and impacts;Work with unstructured tasks / risk and provide a structured output;Interview client personnel of all levels to document, understand, and assess relevant consumer compliance risks and controls;Assist audit management of routine client status meetings, audit requests, and other administrative tasks;Assist in documentation and evaluation of audit observations and findings and subsequent validation of actions taken by management to address such findings;Work on simultaneous integrated audit projects for different audit leaders;Develop and document ideas for analytical control testing to expand the breadth and depth of audit coverage;Develop familiarity with consumer compliance risk across all lines of businesses, globally;Utilize department and company tools in a proficient manner; andMaintain internal audit competency through ongoing professional development.Minimum QualificationsBachelor of Art/Science or equivalent degree;Demonstrated experience and competency in the assessment of risks and controls;Strong written and verbal communication skills;Demonstrated integrity, innovation, teamwork, and excellence;Has the ability to apply a reflexive mindset;Ability to break-down a complex problem into components, solve them by potentially using data analysis, process knowledge and risk/control knowledge, and communicate data analysis, issues and control recommendations with transparency and integrityExcellent storytelling and visualization skills; andAbility to travel.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in Accounting, or another related field is preferred;Relevant audit and compliance professional certifications are preferred (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) etc.) Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) etc;Interest in working with data, interpreting results, analytic best practices and experience with data analytics tools and data visualization; andProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Access, SQL, Power BI, Python, SAS, Hive and/or Spark.Experience in consumer compliance risk is preferred;We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
