The Issuer Services Department is part of the wider Services Group. The Department contains a diverse section of units which support our Issuer Services Clients, Product and Sales partners. The services we provide include Depository servicing, Issuing & Paying agency services and Specialised Agency functions such as Account Bank, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Escrow Agent functions.

Typical Corporate Trust clients of Citi include major international and national-level corporations, financial institutions (FIs), banks, and public sector/sovereign Debt issuers, as well as investment banks, asset managers, and stand-alone collateral managers.

The Securities & Derivatives Sr Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to transactions originating from business. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
Section Manager leading a group of 9 staff undertaking core operational processes within issuer services including staff development.
Escalation point for team leader to assist in timely resolution of issues.
Effectively liaise with other teams and departments to resolve issues, share knowledge & drive process improvements.
Responsibilities for team's system profiles and assist system access process for new hires.
Ensure staff morale is always high, and that team is motivated.
Ensure one to ones with relevant supporting MIS, client feedback, training completed etc. for each member of the team is delivered on a timely basis.
Review of versatility matrix identify training gaps, and plan training/coaching.
Participate in any Department projects as required and support Department Manager in achievement of overall department goals.
Increase industry knowledge of the client segment to ensure the client receives the highest quality service.
Take full ownership of escalations and system issues.
Complete reporting requirements with Department Manager on all control items ensuring consistency across the department.
Maintenance and tracking of metrics to drive ongoing performance improvements.
Assist Department Manager in preparation of and during audit reviews, and in implementing required changes recommended by Regulator, Audit, Business Monitoring, etc.
Focus on quality, ensuring all processes are conducted to the highest standard.

Experience and Skills
8-10 Years Financial Services experience. Payments or documentation review experience would be of benefit.
Ideally from an Operations background with a broad understanding of banking operations and securities.
Knowledge of Corporate Trust Operations would be advantageous
Strong investigative and analytical skills.
A strong understanding of Operational Risk related functions and processes – payments experience.
Proven ability to execute

Proven ability to coach and develop talent

Education:
Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
