Job Summary
NetApp, recognized as one of the top workplaces, presents an exciting opportunity for Professional Services Engineer with our Global Services and Solution Center. We provide solution consulting and post-sales technical expertise for the automation to orchestrate NetApp products and infrastructure management. The engineer may be involved in translating business processes into automated tasks, as well as deploying automation tools and tasks into customers' environments, ensuring integration with existing infrastructure. The engineer might need provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on automation design and implementation.
Job Requirements
o Proficiency with the scripting languages like PowerShell, Python or bash/ksh along with working knowledge with REST APIs.
o Proficiency in one of the infrastructure management tools like Ansible or Terraform.
o Proficiency with least one data base – SQL or MongoDB will be preferred.
o Experience working with NetApp Storage ONTAP and/or at least any of Cloud Hyperscaler will be an added advantage.
o Experience in Agile/Scrum process for DevOps deliveries leveraging tools like Confluence, Jira and GitHub will be an added advantage.
o Possess the ability to work at the direction of a Project Manager, as well as often self-manage engagements to ensure customer engagements.
o Possess awareness of customer architecture and how it affects project planning and execution.
o Articulate in the end-to-end Automation solutions, with an emphasis on being customer centric and focused.
o Capable of training customers in ad-hoc knowledge transfer as well as organized demonstrations or our methodologies.
o Able to lead and delegate different functions within a project to ensure customer success
o Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential and are utilized in communicating with team members, systems administrators and managers.
o Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and managers in a team environment to share best practices and meet aggressive goals and meet high quality standards.
o Ability to work well with customers' technical representatives under a variety of circumstances to best understand and meet customer expectations.
Education
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, and preferably 9-11 years; or 5-7 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant professional experience; or equivalent combination of professional education/training and applicable work experience.
