About the role: Boston Scientific’s Principal RPA Business Analyst will be part of a newly formed Global Business Services RPA COE that allows us to optimize and automate processes to drive strategic value. The Principal Business Analyst will be expected to be a working manager – managing a team of developers and business analysts, while also being responsible for the completion of RPA documentation and helping to facilitate and coordinate the end to end Robotic Process Automation lifecycle. Your Business Analyst responsibilities include: Identifying processes that are suitable for automation, and provide recommendations to reengineer processes to improve automation potential. Collaborating with business stakeholders and RPA Developers to conduct current state process assessments and design future state RPA solutions. Working with process areas to analyze and optimize business processes to drive Continuous Improvement. Creating functional specifications by translating business requirements into technical requirements based on the analysis of business goals and objectives. Completing required process and controls documentation. Analyzing and observing processes to understand process steps, interdependencies, and applications used to complete transactions Identifying processes that are suitable for automation, and provide recommendations to reengineer processes to improve automation potential. Project planning & management including resourcing plans, timelines, and budgets Drive RPA project portfolio commitments. Coordination of project deliverables and activities. Interfacing with cross-functional business partners. Working in virtual team environments across time zones and geographic locations. Your Manager responsibilities include: Leading a team of Developers and Business Analysts to deliver RPA solutions. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports. Assist in and/or manages functional deliverables and ensures technical excellence for all RPA solutions developed. Provides guidance and approval for technical strategies and approaches. Works with the RPA COE Manager to determine project staff assignments and project timelines. Monitors and evaluates project and department progress and results. What we’re looking for: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology required 5-7 years’ experience in business-facing IT project management role, or business/process analytics role. Experience managing a team. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including business process and data analytics. Strong business acumen. Ability to perform all aspects of Project Management. Ability to develop design requirements/documents for automation processes. Demonstrated ability to design, develop, optimize, and integrate analytic solutions of a complex nature across an organization Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence at all levels from multiple departments and geographic locations; awareness of cultural differences Committed to finding solutions to challenges and enjoys creative problem solving Ability to solve problems collaboratively and build strong relationships Team player, flexible, and committed to quality process and outcomes Strong self-direction and initiative; willingness to take complete ownership over projects and tasks. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks Process orientation with strong attention to detail Strong written and oral communication skills Lean process knowledge. Preferred Qualifications: PMP or similar project management certification. Working experience in delivering RPA projects
