Preschool teachers care for and instruct young children between two and five years of age. They teach their young students basic skills through the use of dramatic play, games, songs, and formal instruction. For example, pre-schoolers are taught the alphabet, numbers, colours, and social skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
Engage in effective curriculum implementation for effective teaching-learning in line with the Brand/ School Philosophy.
Document feedback for continuous improvement and teaching strategies.
Implementation of weekly plans, and implement age appropriate curriculum (lesson plan) to nurture and stimulate all domains of child’s development
Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the child’s learning and growth.
Guide and give on job training to the Assistant Teacher. Provide regular feedback on improvement areas.
Ensures & Follows meetings, lesson plans, policies & procedures etc.
Identify students showing signs of emotional, developmental or health-related problems, learning difficulties and discuss appropriate remedial programs.
Work in coordination with fellow Teachers.
Prepare teaching-learning materials; decorate classroom and bulletin board timely and with quality.
Arrange indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate a wide range of teaching-learning activities while maintaining safety.
Coordinate with the support staff, Classroom maids to maintain housekeeping standards of the classroom and the school premises
Plan age appropriate and evaluate and improve the physical environment in the classroom to create opportunities to meet the changing needs of children.
Establish effective rules for behaviour in the classroom and guide children sensitively to create a balanced environment of freedom with discipline
