Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
Experienced IT professionals in Project Management/Program Management Office area for our location in Chennai/Pune/Bangalore. The person must be qualifiable to lead medium/large projects under IT Infrastructure services, serving Global Clients in a remote delivery model. The PMO role aims to ensure the right governance and controls are in place in terms of project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques.
The candidate will support Senior Program Directors to lead complex programs, acting as Quality Ambassadors and key-enablers for the work, from any governance standpoint.
The ideal candidates must have good communication skills and leadership potential, goal orientation and problem solving.

Roles and Responsibilities:Act as Owner & Enabler for the standard PMO Services: Governance & Assurance Management / Financial Management / Quality Management & Service Readiness / Document Control & Configuration Management / Change Management / Planning / Communication Management / Procurement & Vendor Management / Risk Management / Support Project Recovery & Health checks / Resource Management / Reporting Management;
Ensure adequate quality & anticipation on each PMO service delivered, allowing Program to take documented decisions;
Develops and maintains generic project management standards, processes and procedures. Document procedures in accordance with agreed methodology; Define process for the PMO Services areas in scope;
Develop and maintain the project library, filling, recording and reporting systems, maintaining a clean repository structure and ensuring the right access management;
Provides support for the development of business cases, project plans, reports and other updates requested by management;
Sets-up and provides detailed guidance regarding the tools in use: MS Project, CIP, PARMA, Service Activation tool;
Act as the Quality Gate Keeper, ensuring the project team is trained and aware of the standard methodology, and is being applied;
Ensure timely reporting and quality in the delivery of standard reports and regarding meeting preparations/inputs needed;
Produces and updates project plans and project financials & any other related reports based on the current MS Project schedule, CIP financials (including cost breakdowns, actuals & forecasts, changes, and any deviations are documented, controlled and timely raised);
Tracks Actions, Risks, Issues, Assumptions, Decisions (RAID), Change Requests, Resources, Quality Management and any other items upon request.
Lead bridge calls and moderate meetings on behalf of the Program Director, when needing to deputize for the PD;
Conduct reviews on the various PMO service areas to track actions, blocking points, dependencies, risks, resolution actions, impact, probabilities, work status, due dates, owners;
Ensure & facilitate partner management;
Evaluates project performance and recommends changes, improvements where performance is found to be unsatisfactory, act as consultant for the PD; seek lessons learned;

Flexibility:Flexibility with respect to working times, needing to adapt to client business timings
Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, partners, or off-site personnel/management.

Job requirements / Qualification criteria:Experience & Technical skills:
Recent and relevant experience of min. 2 years of PMO roles or equivalent.
Good understanding of project environment & set-up
Business English level (writing & speaking)
Advanced MS Office Skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Outlook)
Medium/Advanced MS Project skills (knowledge on scheduling the program/project plan using project management tools such as MS Project)
Financial understanding
