The Expedia Global Payroll Team is looking for a North American (“NORAM”) Payroll Supervisor who can lead and transform our US and Canadian Payrolls, has a passion for continuous improvement, and enjoys developing a North American Payroll team in a Global HR/Payroll environment.
You will provide coaching and leadership for a group of analysts enthusiastic about delivering a great customer experience both to our external and internal customers. With your experience, technical skillset, and passion for training and motivating others, you and your team will create the processes and experiences that enable Payroll's vision of a delightful employee experience across Expedia.
What you’ll do:
As the NORAM Payroll Supervisor you will lead a team of 4 Payroll Analysts and 2 Tax Analysts. You will have oversight of the end-to-end process for remuneration and related statutory and regulatory requirements for the US and Canada; spanning 21 different legal entities.
Dual Reporting to the Sr. Manager – Americas Region Payroll and the Head of the Payroll hub in India you will be a key part of the Payroll Leadership team in People Services, executing on the strategic direction and ensuring plans are robust to achieve key business objectives.
Lead a team of Analysts, focusing on their development, and mentoring individuals to help them achieve their highest potential.
Ensure all regulatory requirements are adhered to, including SOX compliance and internal and external audit requests.
Work with multiple contacts in the Global People Services team on project and improvement initiatives.
Interact closely with multiple teams and stakeholders including Finance, Benefits and HR leaders, across the Expedia Group locations in North America and around the globe.
Who you are:
3+ years’ experience working in a Payroll supervisory role for the US
1+ years’ experience working with Canadian Payroll
Demonstrate a flexible approach, ensuring some alignment in timezone of the US West Coast
Ability to support the vision of leadership, work to devise transformational initiatives, and execute business plans
A passion for continuous improvement and driving through automation of processes and Global project initiatives
Exceptional knowledge on US and Canadian legislation and labor law regulations
A strong influencer with ability to manage and work in partnership with key stakeholders, Senior Leadership and external vendors
A great eye for detail and a no compromise approach when it comes to compliance and reconciliation activities
