Job Description
As a Patent Attorney you would be working for an architecture and design studio that focuses on innovation and prudent works. This studio is the only company that can design emission-free, carbonpositive buildings from a temporary shelter for the homeless to each and every city, having designed and registered successful patents in various industries. The studio works seamlessly to bring up innovative, sustainable, and eco-friendly ideas to make the world a better place to live in.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
We are hiring a ‘Patent Attorney’ to file, keep records, and related works of the patent.
The primary job responsibility of the ‘Patent Attorney’ will be to take follow-ups on the previous patents filed, make necessary development to file the new patent, and to keep the records of everything legal related to the patent. In addition to that, the candidate must have the skills to analyze electrical systems and applications.
This Candidate must have skills to plan and schedule own work activities, coordinate activities with other cross-functional team members to meet project goals. Candidate having experience in the following will be preferred: a) Patent Filing b) Legal & c) Follow-ups
The core duties will include:
Discuss inventions and processes with inventors or manufacturers and ascertain whether they're likely to succeed in being granted patents * Analyze scientific or technical documents, including previously granted patents, to assess whether an invention is new and innovative
Write detailed technical descriptions of inventions in precise legal terms (patent drafts) * Suggest modifications or extensions to the definition of the invention apply for patents from the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) and the European Patent Office (EPO)
Prepare responses to reports from the patent examiners
Ensure application and renewal deadlines are met
Work with solicitors and barristers to defend or enforce UK patents
Advise overseas attorneys on applications for foreign patent applications
Instruct on whether business activities will infringe someone else's patent rights
Deal with assignments of the patent when a patent is sold or transferred
Keep up to date with legal developments in the intellectual property field
Advise on other intellectual property rights, e.g. designs or trademarks
Cross communication with the team members related to design
Preparing analysis report for a better flow of information.
Evaluating electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
Confirming systems and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
Developing electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
Developing manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
Assuring product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
Preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Keeping equipment operational by following the manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
Performing detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
Maintaining product database by writing computer programs; entering data.
Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
Working with a variety of technicians.
Completing projects by training and guiding technicians.
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Experience and Skills Required

Education
Must have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a degree in law or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience
Two years in the legal/patent section. (must)
One year in the electrical field. (preferable)

Shift Timings - 01:30 PM - 10:30 PM (UK Shift)

Salary: ?20,000.00 to ?30,000.00 /month
