Nautical Faculty - Marine Trainer

Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Master Mariner / Trainer to join our team.In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on training, conducting regular classes, and sharing practical experience with DNS, GME, and B. Tech (Marine Engineering) cadets. Additionally, you will oversee the Navigation and chart room department and conduct various post-Sea courses as scheduled by SIMS.Key Responsibilities:Provide hands-on training to DNS, GME, and B. Tech (Marine Engineering) cadets.Conduct regular classes to impart essential knowledge and skills related to marine engineering and navigation.Share practical experiences from your extensive sailing background to enrich the learning experience of cadets.Take charge of the Navigation and chart room department, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.Conduct various post-Sea courses as per the schedule provided by SIMS.Required Candidate Profile:Must have served as a Master Mariner on any type of vessels.Completion of VICT (Vertical Integration Course for Trainers) is advisable.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring and training.Ability to adapt training methods to suit the needs of diverse cadets.In-depth knowledge of marine engineering, navigation, and chart room operations.Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.If you meet the above qualifications and are passionate about sharing your expertise with the next generation of maritime professionals, we encourage you to apply for this position.
