Description As a Messaging and UC support engineer you play an important role in the Global IT support organization. Your scope is the Messaging an UC area based on Microsoft technology which consisting out of a Hybrid environment serving >100K people worldwide. The scope of the Messaging and UC support engineer covers the following areas:
Exchange on-prem
Exchange on Office 365
Skype on-prem (will be decommissioned)
Skype Teams on Office 365

ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Monitor, Administer, Troubleshoot support for Email infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010/2013/2016, O365 and Skype for business
Manages the corporate instant messaging system; will configure and maintain the hosted Skype for Business service offering
Help support constantly growing pipeline of Exchange and SFB projects by delivering exceptionally and timely executed services
Maintains the globally distributed in- house servers and appliances that support our enterprise Messaging systems
Manages Messaging Application - Server as well client
Performs restore jobs (such as mail/ mail box / db) following SOPs.
Perform jobs such as failover / failback under guidance / supervision
Troubleshoot complex issues such as - database corruption, failure, performance issues
Outlook rules and troubleshoot client end and free/busy issues
Configure rules and Calendars, configure extended calendars
Manages Skype for Business, performs jobs such as Configure settings on the Lync/SFB clients, Delete and recreate SFB profiles, troubleshoot client end sign-in issues, Monitor call quality dashboard and resolve call quality issues, Configure dial-in conferencing, meeting options, presence privacy mode, conference recording, federation etc

Required skills and expertiseMandatory experience of 3+ Years of support experience in Core Office365 Technologies.
Should be certified on MS-200, MS-201 (or MS-202) and MS-300
Candidate should possess excellent knowledge of PowerShell scripting (reading / creating / troubleshooting ) scripts
Should have experience of troubleshooting Exchange / SfB / Teams in Hybrid environment.
Working knowledge of Outlook/Lotus Notes, troubleshoot NDRs, Analyze the message header, Delegate permission, recovering deleted items, Outlook rules and Free/busy
Candidate should be well aware and experienced in Exchange 2007/2010/2013/2016 and Skype for business concepts and features such as High Availability DAG, Clustering, Disaster Recovery, Auto-discover, Backups, Transport & Routing
Maintains the globally distributed in- house servers and appliances that support our enterprise Messaging systems
Should have excellent understanding of Hybrid configurations, basic understanding of Identity and Access management
Knowledge on Mail flow / Security / SPAM / DKIM and troubleshooting related with Mail flow in Hybrid mode
Should possess good skills on in-depth troubleshooting of Outlook applications (Outlook for iOS, OSX, Windows 10 and Android)
Should be able to assess security scores in Office365
Candidate should be flexible to adopt and adapt any other technology that would be involved in the job requirement.
Should have knowledge on Basic Active directory from integration with office365 perspective.
Should have clear conceptual knowledge of AAD / ADFS technology.
Knowledge of SharePoint and O365 groups will be added advantage.
Candidate should know the work process under ITIL guidelines and change management process.
To work with other team members to support on escalations
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
Deliver audit and other mandatory reports/documents as and when requested by internal or external audit teams or clients
Ok to work in different shifts and in a 24*7 environment
MCSE certification is a plus
SQL and PowerBI knowledge (for reporting) is a plus
