Position Title:Mechanical Designer

Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical Designer for the Lima office. In the Mechanical Designer role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of industry professional across the globe to support on-site operations and mechanical infrastructures.
Works independently in the preparation of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
Keeps direct coordination with engineers in the Mechanical discipline.
Ensures compliance with approved design standards in own work and by those assigned, to provide quality design.
Reviews and checks drawings and design documents for quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality and satisfactory completion.
Works with designers in other disciplines to coordinate overall design and technical requirements.
Develops work plans, budgets, and schedules for basic designer tasks based on input and direction from supervisor in designated discipline.
Answers questions from client or construction group on design scope within assigned responsibility.
Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
Ensure the data quality in the database of SmartPlant P&ID. Not only the graphic information in the drawings but also the data entered into the software that are not visible in the drawings.
Prepare and assists in the preparation of lists of equipment and components obtained from SmartPlant P&ID.
Advanced knowledge in the preparation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and equipment lists.
Advanced knowledge in SmartPlant P&ID software.
Advanced management of database in SmartPlant P&ID
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in different stages of engineering in mining projects.
Have the legal right to work in Peru (be a national employee or have an active work visa)
Skill in reading, interpreting and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous Bechtel experience is desirable
Starting at January 2nd, 2020.
Salary will be based on current market rates and the posted grade will not be adjusted to suit the successful candidate
