Functional Description
American Express Fraud Risk Management is a place to create, innovate and collaborate to enable world-class customer experiences and prevent fraud losses for the company. Fraud Risk colleagues are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, and work with best-in-class systems, capabilities, and people across the American Express enterprise. As part of the Credit and Fraud Risk organization, you will join a team of skilled fraud risk managers who are responsible for the thought leadership, creation, delivery, and management of fraud capabilities and controls that support new product launches, product enhancements, and existing products.
Purpose of the Role
This is an exciting and high visibility role within Fraud Risk Management based in Gurgaon. In this role you will be responsible for leading Fraud Risk Management colleagues based in India with a focus on building fraud risk infrastructure and manage fraud losses to the forecast. This individual will also interact directly with the Reserve Bank of India and represent Fraud Risk management on the American Express Banking Corporation Board.
Responsibilities
Focus on continuous improvement of fraud risk management processes and capabilities.
Optimize integration and usage of capabilities and data such as credit bureaus, GO2, external fintech partners and vendors which help us compete with competitors
Partner with Chief Credit Officers and Product teams on capability migrations and integration of new external fraud vendors
Drive Fraud New accounts while supporting end to end delivery of controls and strategies
Support the launch of new products/ capabilities and ensure fraud risk is mitigated appropriately
Strong partnership with Central Fraud risk team to identify opportunities through data insights and build innovative risk servicing experiences that deepen our digital connection with prospects and customers.
Manage and govern any regulatory change through change or enhancement to Fraud risk policy or process Manage the Fraud Reporting to RBI in India
Represent Fraud risk management as a member of American Express Banking Corporation Risk Committees and present fraud results and insights to the committee members and other senior leaders of the Bank.
Partner closely with Market Compliance Office, Operational Excellence, Global Security and Fraud operations to maintain industry low fraud losses.
Represent Fraud Risk management in all external regulatory and internal audit interactions and inspections

Ability to translate technical information into easily understandable terms.
Knowledge of SAS, Java, Hive, Yellow Brick, Python, Lumi, or SQL is a plus
Minimum Qualifications
An Advanced Quantitative Degree In Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics Or Economics
And/Or Equivalent Work Experience Will Be Preferred
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years relevant experience in Analytics
Experience with Credit Card fraud industry is a plus
Knowledge of Hive, Yellow Brick, Python, Lumi, or SQL is a plus
