Degreed’s People Team is looking for an exceptional, driven, and competent Manager, People Business Partnering to support our Tech and Product functions as we rapidly scale and grow. The Manager, People Business Partnering will provide strategic direction to our leadership, ensure we drive and execute our people initiatives, enhance our processes, and approach challenges with creativity and a solutions-oriented mindset. This role will oversee our People Business Partners to drive functional excellence and ensure outstanding service is provided to our teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strategic leadership and thought partnership to all levels of the organization
Lead and manage the People Business Partners to ensure a superb employee experience
Partner with the Director, People and people leaders to design and implement new people programs that will have immediate and visible impact
Apply your expertise and experience to proactively optimize existing programs and processes for scale
Facilitate leadership capability planning across the company and execute on programs and tools to transform our leaders and teams
Keep a pulse on the organization and the needs of its employees and people leadersLead with warmth and competence to build credibility and trust among employees and people leaders
Consult and advise on sensitive and complex people matters, including performance, employee wellness, and team changes
Drive people processes including the semi-annual performance snapshot, succession planning, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and engagement survey
Lead change management efforts around culture and new programs
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS

5+ years experience in an HR Manager/Sr. HR Business Partner or equivalent role
2+ years experience in people management
Demonstrated interest and adaptability to learn the business
A self-starter with a proven ability to work independentlyEffective communication and problem-solving skills
Applied knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization and exert positive influence
A desire to collaborate and cultivate relationships across teams
Comfortable working in an environment with changing priorities and evolving processes and systems
Open to new ideas and committed to continued learning and personal development
