And we'll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.Manager-ComplianceWith a focus onRegulatory ComplianceRisk&Compliance ProgramsTitle:Manager-ComplianceLevel:Manger(B35)Location:India –Cico, exclusively supporting the Canada marketDescription This roleis responsibleforsupporting the transformation, implementation and sustaining of Amex bank of Canada (ABC)'sRegulatory Compliance Management Frameworkincluding Regulatory Change Management (RCM),Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA), Bankandcommittee reporting, as well as compliance programs delivery.The role will havefivestrategiccomponents:1- Support theimplementation ofABC'sRCMprogram as applied to the Canada market; 2-Support in the discharge of the CRA program as applied to the Canada market; 3- Prepare and deliver on bank and board of directors reports and materials; and 4-Deliver on special compliance projects that are strategic for the market or global in nature in close collaboration with the Chief Compliance Office;and4- Supportongeneral Compliance matters as operationally required.The position has responsibility for contributing to the development and maintenance of a strong Compliance regime and culture that provides effective management of compliance programsin accordance withthe local market legal and regulatory requirements and internal American Express policy. The role requires strong partnerships with operations, business and leadership teams, and oversight functions to provide oversight on regulatory risk management. The Manager mustmaintaina clear understanding of the regulatory requirements, internalexpectationsand processes across all lines of business to control and mitigate any risk.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Bank's Regulatory Change Management (RCM) process includinghorizon scanning &monitoringthe external environment; updating regulatory change as it progresses through its lifecycle;generating reports andattending monthly meetings to present anddiscussbusiness applicability,impactsto controls,etc.?Support the Bank's Compliance Risk Management (CRA) process including quarterly business unit applicability matrix mapping and solving for action items within allottedtimeframes.Help with theimplementation of project Neo including impacts to the Canadian market for RCM and CRA and their evolutions.?Collaborate with various stakeholders including General Counsel, Operational Excellence,severalbusinessesin order tobuild relationships & complete deliverables.Provide programsupport forOSFI E-13 andEthidex, including system support for the annual exercise, generation of the final report,andvendor contract update.Generate reporting for various stakeholders including working groups, Compliance Forum, Bank Committees, etc. Participate in training and development opportunities tokeep abreast of changing regulatory environment.Contribute to the development and refinement of compliance policies and procedures.Maintain working knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements. As needed,consult withGeneralCounsel's Office, Audit, Risk, or Line of Business and Enterprise Compliance experts.?Special compliance projects may entail providing significant input into the strategic direction and improvement of the Compliance program in the Canada market and globally, devising and implementing policies and procedures to achieve compliance, identifying applicable legal compliance requirements and regulations, ensuring appropriate Compliance-related training programs are conducted, providing guidance to the business on compliance issues and support regulatory relationships, as required.?Asappropriate, lead the development andmonitorthe implementation of Compliance Program goals, conduct on-going reporting of Program results, and consult on business activities needed to closeidentifiedcompliance gaps ina timelyand effective manner.?Creation and implementation of KRIs / smart monitoring andestablishingreporting and monitoring programs (i.e., Business Self Testing) to cover the ABC's Compliance Programs.?Minimum QualificationsAt least 8 years of legal, compliance, risk management and/or privacy and data protection experience at a company in a regulated industry (Financial Institution experience preferred). ?The 8 years could be in any of those disciplines or combined, with deepexpertisein Privacy and Data Protection.University degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and business experience. A law degree, an MBA, or postgraduate degrees or professional designations would be considered an asset.Professional certifications in Complianceorequivalent are highly desirable.?Data driven leader that understands andidentifiesautomation opportunities to drive efficiency and change.Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues across the Enterprise.Experience collaborating with multiple business units while leading enterprise programs that require understanding of technology implementation would be an asset.Strong program and project management skills with a proventrack recordof managing multiple projects in a high-pressure environment.Proven strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize and implement sustainable solutions to address gaps and improve efficiency.Ability to effectively work with and influence stakeholders atdifferent levelsacross the blue box.Strong business acumen, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize effectively.Comfort with taking the lead, defining strategies, recommending solutions, and informing stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt easily to frequent change.Proven business transformation and leadership skills including process improvement, project management, system capabilities and analytical skills.We appreciate all applications, however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.?We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
