Global Services business of American Expressis responsible to deliver extraordinary customer care to Card Members, merchants and commercial clients around the world, while providing world-class credit, collections and fraud services. The GS MIS and Analytics team is responsible for providing Executive Decision support through advanced analytics and MIS, helping the organization to leverage our competitive advantage and capitalize on the unique asset of Relationship Care® to drive customer engagement to deepen loyalty with our customers and drive brand advocacy. The team has a global footprint though this position will be based out of the American Express Service Center in Gurgaon, India.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The incumbent will be responsible fordriving MIS and Analytics for Global Travel & Lifestyle Servicing (GTLS). The candidate will lead a team of tenured business analysts (4-6) and partner closely with Operations leadership to provide extensive support on customer analytics, KPI Dashboard, deep dive/insights and do RCA at market level to unlock growth opportunities and customer, operational as well as colleague level
Responsibilities:
Lead Executive MIS from data sourcing to analytics, metric creation, validation, alignment with different teams (US Consumer, Finance, GOCM and more) to ensure consistency across teams and BU's.
Proactively & systematically identify out of pattern metrics performance in a timely manner and address information gaps by providing insightful analytics
Lead market engagement strategy to showcase MIS products, drive adoption and usage of MIS products, seek feedback and collaborate on market initiatives to drive customer experience.
Effectively manage a dynamic team of highly skilled colleagues, addressing any onboarding, training, engagement, and development requirements.
Utilize various data analysis tools and techniques to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and drive automation
Build and strengthen strong control management and data governance framework
Critical Factors to Success:
Ensure timely and accurate MIS based on Exe & Leadership requirements
Centrally manage MIS and key operational metrics and address functional data needs across operations and support teams
Lead and enable implementation of datamart to drive transformation and solutions, decentralizing data and creating automated reporting solutions to drive self-servicing wherever applicable.
Past Experience:
4+ years of experience in data and business intelligence
Academic Background:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferably in a quantitative field
Post-graduate degree in a quantitative field will be an added advantage
Prior GTLS experience, business knowledge or exposure to travel industry will be an added advantage
Technical Skills/Capabilities:
Proficiency on Hive/SQL/ Python/ BIG Query/Statistical packages is essential with good understanding of Big Data /LUMI ecosystem
Exposure to data visualization tools especially Tableau, Power BI
Other skills:
Relationship building with GTLS leadership & key partners /stakeholders to understand their analytical need and convert them into MIS Packages and actionable insights.
Proven thought leadership, strong communication and relationship management skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, flexibility and adaptability to work within tight deadlines and changing priorities.
