Job Description SummaryLead Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement is responsible for managing the buying process for a given set of goods. This includes applying sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. This role requires a strong understanding of concepts, methods and procedures to enable sourcing execution.Job DescriptionEssential responsibilities:Place and follow-up on purchase orders (PO).Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.Manage problems and schedule changes.Update ERP.Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability.Understand strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives.Analyse and track Supplier promise date accuracy and develop reports to ensure Supplier promise date accuracy .Support commodity buys.Write reports to track PO activity and supplier performance.Communicate with direct team and supervisor.Present to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.Elaborate proposals for improvement in approaches, methods, procedures and processes in the own field.Contribute to project as a team member.Materials planning and execution with suppliers & relevant stakeholders for 100% on time production fulfillment.Identify risks, create visibility, and identify & drive actions for risk mitigation associated with production and customer fulfillment by closely working with Suppliers, Quality, Sourcing, Customs COE, Schedulers, Manufacturing, Finance, warehousing, logistics, and all such relevant stakeholders.Manage end to end Logistics operations.Close monitoring and control over Materials requirement from customer fulfillment perspective at various stages such as program phase, FSA, ramp-up, engagement with global & domestic stakeholders to remain in control and on track of programs.Control and proactively manage alerts from Material Optimization Suite (MOS) and SAP. Participate, drive, and implement various lean and digital initiatives such as PFEP, VMI, Supplier OTD(PK), and replenishment models.Drive control of inventory of Raw Materials and GIT/SIT as per inventory entitlement as well as ensure control over slow moving/Obsolescence as per inventory policy.Furthermore, keep on optimising inventory levels and meeting the inventory turn target.Participate and work closely with sourcing and program teams to ensure successful roll out of the products/programs.Identify and manage bottleneck or capacity constraints and improvement opportunities.Timely update and release daily, weekly and monthly metrics charts and focus on performance trajectories.Work closely with logistics and warehouses for optimization of space and cost qualifications.Should have experience to worked in Fabrication commodities.Know the Best Buying Practices & ability to implement them.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college10+ years of experience in, Buying/Procurement/Sourcing/Material Planning/Supply Chain Management.Good exposure to SAP, MS Office etc.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided:Yes
