About the Role
Our Information and Cyber Security team is looking for an Information Security Sr. Engineer to join our ICS team. We are looking for a database engineer to provide technical leadership, software design and development within our information security organization. Our projects focus on emerging services that provide security solutions to the bank as a whole as well as information security operations.
Responsibilities
The position will be responsible for:
Assimilate information security requirements from product owners, understand relevant impacts and translate them into technical designs
Serve as a technical lead for the database MS-SQL/SSIS/SSRS development for the various application & reporting services.
Extensive experience in developing complex database code with T-SQL, SSRS and SQL Server following best practices to support UI, middleware and batch applications.
Ensuring the team is adhering to banking requirements and establishing and guiding best practices with the team.
Participate in scrum team meetings and ceremonies and provide daily documented updates in support of the team
Perform code and design reviews for peers within the organization
Develop unit testing scripts for deliverables
Provide change and incident support as required outside of normal business hours
Analytical thinker able to resolve ongoing issues or defects.
Strong understanding of software security best practices
Ability to advance from project statement to well documented design
Ability to mentor team members to help them achieve maximum productivity
Responsible to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Review all daily activities and ensure completion of shift duties and proper handover.
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
Minimum 12 years of experience in software engineering with at least 8 years hands on with Microsoft SQL Server database design, writing & maintaining stored procedures/functions, Query optimization, performance tuning, debugging.
Minimum 5 years of extensive working experience with MSBI SSIS and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) development.
Highly proficient with TSQL and SQL Server 2008 2019 versions, stored procedures, views & function with experience ranging from Architecture to design and maintenance.
Candidate should have the ability to research and troubleshoot T-SQL queries with or without prior exposure to them
Experience creating complex ETL/SSIS packages including a working knowledge of Script Tasks with a focus on C#.
Hands on experience with handling data migrations across systems, database to database or from any other sources using SSIS tool.
Strong understanding of secure software development standards & practices and should be able to identify & review application level vulnerabilities and fix them during the development phase.
Strong knowledge on DB normalization techniques, transaction control querying and System management views.
Full understanding of temporal table design and maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot code without prior exposure to the code.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to mentor team members to help them achieve maximum productivity.
Desired Qualifications Programming and application development experience.
Knowledge on LINQ queries and .Net with C# knowledge is preferable.
Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
Advanced Microsoft Office software, hardware, operating system knowledge.
Experience working in a large enterprise environment
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a variety of contacts including mid-level managers
Project management/coordination experience.
