By joining the team, you will become part of our Tunnels and Underground Structures 120 skilled professionals in India and will be heading a section consisting of Specialists that in close collaboration with Specialists elsewhere in COWI's Business Line International deliver projects globally.
SET DIRECTIONS FOR BIM TEAM IN TUNNELS DEPARTMENT
By heading the Building Information Modeling (BIM) team of Tunnels and Underground Structures department in Gurgaon, India, you will be an integrated part our global network of BIM experts.
As Head of the BIM section, you will have day-to-day collaboration with colleagues based in various departments of COWI's Business Line International's Business Units globally. The position reports to the Vice President, Tunnels and Underground Structures of COWI in India.
A key component of your work will be to enable, promote and grow collaboration across COWI by building relationships and trust, with key stakeholders within the COWI network, as well as other Head of Sections within the Tunnels and Underground Structures department.
In addition, your ability to promote and maintain a high-performance culture within the team by living and promoting COWI's values will be the cornerstone for successful delivery of the portfolio of projects being undertaken in the team. You are expected to engage proactively in the development and empowerment of team members.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
Act as a role model in the team in terms of values, culture and behaviour and set standards within the same
Engage with key stakeholders within COWI's Business Line International network to grow the pipeline of work for the team. The stakeholders include Line Managers, Project Managers, Delivery Managers and Specialists.
Develop and spar with individual staff members on their professional and personal development leading to enhanced efficiencies
Provide technical direction, quality reviews and guidance to the project teams
Handle project resource allocations, ensuring that the staff with relevant skills and proficiency are assigned
Handle all organisational and staff related matters for the team, including recruitment
In close collaboration with key stakeholders, develop the strategy for the competence development and growth of the team, tying into COWI's overall strategic ambitions
Act as Team leader or Technical leader on complex projects
Advise project managers on topics related to the planning of BIM-related services, production environment and deliveries on the project
Participate proactively in the professional forum for digitization in COWI and contribute with development initiatives and professional sparring to the other employees within BIM.

Furthermore, to align with the organisations overarching driver of technical excellence, you should:
Hold a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree is preferable
Have demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in BIM on complex projects, and overall more than 15 years of industry experience, providing quality reviews in the area of speciality, leading and delivering Tenders, feasibility/ concept studies, and detailed design in metro, rail and underground projects. Overall industry experience can be relaxed in case of deserving candidates.
Strive to develop the BIM section as the Centre of Excellence for Transportation International
Have experience as BIM Manager or Head of Section, and familiar with digital tools and has the flair to learn new methods
Support implementation / management of BIM during design, construction, and handover (level of involvement varies on a project basis);
Have in-depth understanding of quality management systems
Have knowledge of BS/PAS1192/ ISO19650 and BIM tools like Revit, Civil 3D, Aecosim, Navisworks, BIM 360
Have demonstrated experience of working in multi-cultural and multi-national team environment. Working experience within North America, Scandinavian or UK markets would be advantageous
Demonstrate impeccable English communication skills – verbal and written
Be self-driven and intrinsically motivated to make a positive difference for the team, COWI and self
