The Global Fund Services division is responsible for providing operational support to BlackRock Funds’ portfolio management teams and clients. You will collaborate with the Regulatory Filings & Audit and various support organizations. The team works closely with a number of internal and external partners, including but not limited to: auditors, custodians and prime brokers, and multiple internal departments, to maximize efficiency, build consistency across the fund range and ensure the timely and accurate release of all financial documents. Currently, the financial and regulatory reporting teams across the US and EMEA support ~2,800 funds within BlackRock.
In this role you will build, collaborate with, and work alongside, the product groups. Due to the broad fund range you will have opportunities for further personal learning, both in terms of product types and accounting complexities, as well as the ongoing development of technical strengths.

Role and responsibilities:

They will guide the analysis confirmation process end-to-end, including preparing confirmations, tracking responses, and resolving queries. Builds functioning partnerships with various independent auditors and numerous custodians, prime brokers and counterparties to complete the audit confirmation process effectively and efficiently. Ensures adherence to filing deadlines for all monetary statements to various BlackRock websites. Review of commercial statements in accordance to US GAAP/IFRS/ Irish GAAP/UK SORP. Handle the production and printing/distribution of financial accounts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Use technology to build automation solutions for tactical initiatives.


A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting

5+ years’ audit experience in investment management or financial services audit or, alternatively, experience within a financial reporting environment as a fund administrator, with US and International accounting standards (German GAAP, US GAAP, Irish GAAP)

Fundamental knowledge of all products types - Mutual, Alternatives –(Hedge fund/private equity/ fund of funds), Open-ended Investment Companies (OEIC) and Unit Trusts.

NAV experience – Validated accounting skills including knowledge of GAAP and financial accounts.

Demonstrate knowledge of a range of stock accounting activities and their associated reflection in the production of financial allegations, as well as understanding of different fund strategies and of significant investment instruments and products, including different derivative instruments.

Sound analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to summarize issues (strong writing) and think creatively.

High degree of comfort with technology is required. Including computer proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
