Global Functions Finance is looking for a Senior financial analyst to partner with the Legal Operations Team to ensure that the company's Intellectual Property Licensing and Patents are property treated to convert them into revenue. This role requires strategic thinking to lead initiatives to benefit the company's long-term plans but also to interact with senior leaders to solve complex deals. This role is focused on two main areas, fist, it requires vast dedication to interpret legal terms included in extensive contracts, consequently a strong and proved knowledge EFR, accounting schemes, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and, company revenue recognition policies are a strongly desired. The second is about financial planning to lead and influence operational support and strategically short and long-term planning focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. More qualifications are described below. FP&A process Drive the forecasting process by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Provides leadership during the implementation of business-wide programs and company patents. Partner with the operations team to define the long-term plan and strategic actions for the next 3 years. Actively reviews, analyses, and manages the key controls within the domain of responsibility to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements (e.g., GAAP, SBC, AFM). Partner with business leaders Partner with GRRO and EFR team to determine adequate revenue recognition based on the contract terms. Partner with the IPL operations team on contract term changes, deep interpretation of legal contracts to anticipate potential financial risks. Be a proactive financial advisor for Non-Finance partners to define the best accounting scheme of the revenue in compliance with company policies for significant long-term deals. Drive and influence strategic decision-making within senior leaders of significant deals. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis to the business. Maintain and update the historical database file of the existing and new deals. Month-end close Track the bank deposits and book the customer transactions. Book the deferred monthly revenue. Knowledge and Skills Superior understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. Revenue Recognition is desirable and/or EFR knowledge. Superior analytical skills.
