MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office.

The position is part of the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Field and Client Technology ? Advisor Solutions Technology group. There is a multi-year Platform Transformation Initiative, for which we are hiring resources that are going to help us to build applications which offer lot of new capabilities to our end users. These applications are built using new design, latest web standards with modern technologies and we need resources to support current platform for BAU activities and at the same to build the new platform. We are also expanding to offer some of the core capabilities in our mobile platform as well. We are putting lot of investment in architecture, design and some of the best practices in coding to ensure we deliver high quality products and want to make sure we retain the knowledge and experience. As we are investing a lot to build our future platform, it is important to invest on our resources that will have knowledgebase and experience.

Wealth Management business is one of the largest in the world with more than $2 trillion in client assets and nearly 16,000 Financial Advisors in 600+ offices across the U.S. Our Financial Advisors focus on delivering timely, customized solutions and services that help clients meet their financial and life goals. Our offering includes brokerage and investment advisory services, financial and wealth planning, access to credit and lending, cash management, annuities and insurance, and retirement services.

Position Overview/ Role & Responsibilities

STO under Wealth Management Technology provides consistent, trusted and integrated business information across all platforms and delivery channels within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) businesses. STO areas of expertise include but are not limited to Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Datalake (DL), cross-business-unit Information Management, Business Intelligence and more. STO team synthesizes and provisions a multitude of business-critical metrics and underlying detailed information in all Core areas of MSWM. Examples of essential data domains and metrics include Assets, Revenue, Account Demographics, Financial Advisor (FA) information, Securities and Cash Transactions, and so on.

As an integral part of STO, CRM team is tasked with providing CRM capabilities, Lead management, Contact Mgmt, Campaign mgmt and many other aspects of Wealth Management business. The candidate may be assigned to a single project or several projects. The role requires credibility, confidence and active participation with leadership teams, business units and technology groups across the project lifecycle. Specific assignments will depend on the size and complexity of the project.

We are seeking an ETL Developer with a minimum of 5-8 years of work experience in designing, developing, testing and deployment of ETL pipelines. Also, developer should have to work on Hadoop, Snowflake. The developer will work with the distributed team and will be responsible for designing and implementing end to end solutions and integrate with the in-house platform and infrastructure.
We are looking for a passionate hands-on programmer who is willing ot spend most of the time in code and delivering quality code by working closely with development leads and architecture teams in understanding and designing the solution. The candidate should be able to work collaboratively in a global setting and should be a go to person for troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Required Experience:

Primary Skills / Must have

4-9 years of experience as an ETL/Informatica/IICS/IDMC/SQL Developer

Hands on experience and in-depth knowledge with the various transformations in Informatica or other similar ETL tool.

Big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Snowflake, Spark.

Strong SQL programming and stored procedure development skills.

Relational database experience (experience with cloud is a big plus).

Strong UNIX Shell scripting experience to support data warehousing solutions.

Integration experience with Salesforce.

Process oriented, focused on standardization, streamlining, and implementation of best practices delivery approach.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in optimizing large data loads.

Ability to prioritize, be flexible and handle multiple projects with varying deadlines in a multi-task environment.

Good-to-have/ Desired Skills:
* Participate in requirements analysis
* Understanding of Agile methodologies
* Experience in Wealth Management or a similar Financial environment
* Experience in working with Data teams to load and export large volume of data to and from Salesforce.
* Knowledge of Salesforce suite of products for integrations with other applications.
* Knowledge on security patterns and practices.
* Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
* Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
* Test and deploy applications and systems with various teams
* Revise, update, refactor and debug code to improve existing software
* Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle
* Serve as an expert on the application and provide technical support
* Willing to take up challenges and learn new technologies
