Work involves performing system and main equipment studies, component specifications and inquiries and technical discussions with other parties (suppliers, customers, R&D, internal parties)In this position, you will be mainly involved in design and engineering of SVC and STATCOM solutions in close coordination with various engineering team globally. We electrify the world with advanced grid technologies and accelerate the energy transition.GE Vernova, a dynamic accelerator comprised of our Power, Renewable Energy, Digital and Energy Financial Services businesses, is focused on leading a new era of energy - electrifying the world while simultaneously working to decarbonize it.If you are ready to make a difference and usher in a new era of energy, come join us.Role & ResponsibilitiesSpecification and implementation of grid/transmission system modelling as well as SVC and STATCOM system modelling in most common simulation environment (PSCAD, PSSE).Performing of various power system studies like load flow, short circuit, transient stability and switching transients, insulation coordination, simulation of temporary and transient overvoltage stresses on equipment and surge arrester energy ratings.Developing scripts to automate execution and analysis of simulationsCo-operation and collaboration with the ITO (sales) team to understand and being able to find the most feasible solution that customers are seeking for.Support in technical tendering, review and approve technical specifications, plans and estimations.Support in research and development tasks in the field of FACTS NPI.
