About the Role
Internally this role is Data Management Consultant 1
This role will perform DQ Rule Implementation within the Enterprise Data Quality Monitoring (eDQM) team. His/her responsibilities include supporting the overall eDQM team on data quality controls processes, capabilities and tools. This role requires knowledge of process and software application testing, understanding of technology and data patterns in a matrixed environment.
Responsibilities
Implement data quality rules as per the requirements
Partner with control teams in the development standards, guidelines, process and business rules for outlining data quality expectations
Prepare and present data quality results, conclusions and recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities to process further
Evaluates and implements data quality approaches to and ensures the adherence to a data integrity governance framework via execution of testing best practices and automation
Analyze the application data and recommend data quality rules
Generate metrics and reports based on the data quality rules implemented
Perform defect analysis and recommend solutions
Raise and generate Jira tickets for issues
Performing detailed reviews of submitted data quality deliverables to make sure everything has been documented according to processes in place
Ensures adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies
Partners with technology support teams and/or with other business groups to ensure synergies in the teams processes
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
University degree in Business or related discipline.
4 years of data management/data governance experience including performing data analysis, process mapping and data lineage documentation
2 years of experience in developing data quality rules, including manual and system control processes using Express>It
2 years Ab Initio DQE and Enterprise Metadata Hub
2 years of experience performing data defect analysis and remediation
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple partners/stakeholders
Knowledge and understanding of data integrity management practices and procedures
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
Basic knowledge of Data warehouse and ETL concepts
Medium SQL knowledge of any of the databases like Oracle, Teradata and Hive
Good understanding of agile concepts and Jira
Basic knowledge and understanding of financial industry compliance requirements
Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality and data stewardship
Information technology experience, Solid experience with MS Excel and Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Must be able to adapt to change well
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
