Department Overview

The Technology Strategy, Planning & Analytics (TSPA) team supports Technology and enables the organization to provide a competitive advantage for Wells Fargo. This support includes, but is not limited to, developing the technology strategy and monitoring its execution, governing investment optimization through portfolio management, and setting standards and best practices for data governance and quality. As an integral part of TSPA Third party function supports the Third Party Operations, Technology Vendor Governance and Management along with strategic initiatives.

About the Role

This candidate within Embedded IT Program must be able to do application asset analysis, gap analysis. Creates technical specification documents and supports in addressing gaps in policy compliance. They need to prepare the System Architecture, Design Documents and coordinate with Business Analyst and other stakeholders. They need to provide guidance and consultation for better approach towards asset analysis and transitioning. Works with functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure alignment with WF strategy /policies and business line objectives. Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations.

Market

Responsibilities:
Application asset analysis resulting in system of record (Remedy) updates and gap analysis to determine the status of compliance with technology policies
Provides guidance and consultation related to the best approach to addressing gaps in policy compliance
Creation of technical specifications or re-design proposal of existing solutions
Creation of SAS(System Architecture Specification), FSD (Functional Specification Document)
Provides application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.
Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.
Acts as an expert technical resource for analysis efforts and documentation.
Understand applications and working directly with various internal and external application team partners.
Write technical specifications, or redesign of existing solutions.
Coordinate with business analysts, business owner, relationship manager and infrastructure resources.
Communicate Application sunrise status and remediation planning to Business User Community in terminology easily understood.
Prepare regular dashboards on key operational metrics & KPIs for executive level briefing (CIO dashboard views) that reflect efficiency & effectiveness of the business, present to various stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications: University degree in Business or related discipline with 8 years in technology space
6 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
Proven knowledge to represent the LOB entire range of products and services to the technology teams and Vice-versa
Ability to influence outcomes and results; ability to connect numbers to scenarios and plans.
Reporting/Analytics experience
Strategic experienced collaborating with business partners and can represent/interface
Fundamental understanding of multi-tier architecture
Proficient at troubleshooting and problem resolution
Able to produce appropriate technical and non-technical documentation, diagrams and process flows
Able to manage contact list of interface partners and dependencies
Strong technical, interpersonal, and communication (both written & verbal) skills are required

Skill Requirements: MS Office, Understanding of SDLC / ITIL methodologies
Experience working in Agile Methodology
Exposure to .NET & Java technology
Experience in database platforms (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)
Experience in preparing / reviewing technical / functional documentations.
Experience in the administrative aspects of configuring and supporting web server environments
Experience with any of the following tools will be an added advantage: Subversion, Anthill Pro, Version One, Eclipse, Visual Studio

Job Timing: 01:30 PM to 10:30 PM

Market Skills and Certifications
CBAP certification, Exposure to Application life cycle management, Application onboarding and hands on experience in Technical / Functional document review / preparation is preferred.
