Job Overview:
We are hiring a
results-driven Business Development Manager
to join a leading logistics company with a PAN-India presence and a global network. The company provides integrated logistics and supply chain solutions, specializing in freight forwarding (Air & Sea), warehousing, transportation, and value-added services.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by acquiring new clients, managing key accounts, and expanding our footprint across sectors such as Pharma , Engineering, FMCG, Retail, and Textiles. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics sales professional who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and delivering customized supply chain solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive business development for Air & Sea freight
across various industry verticals.
Build a strong sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients by understanding their logistics needs and offering customized, cost-effective solutions.
Conduct regular client meetings to identify cross-selling opportunities and increase wallet share.
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, customer service, finance) to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.
Ensure timely billing and proactively follow up on collections and outstanding payments.
Act as the key point of contact for client escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Coordinate with overseas offices to support international business opportunities and key accounts.
Promote additional services such as customs clearance, warehousing, and transportation.
Prepare and present business reviews and reports to both clients and internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Graduate or MBA in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain from a reputed institution or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of proven experience in lead generation or sales support in a freight forwarding or logistics industry (Air & Sea) mandatory.
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Deep understanding of logistics solutions, international trade, and freight operations.
Experience in managing clients in Pharma, Engineering, FMCG, Consumer Goods, or Retail sectors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-driven, strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset.
Familiarity with value-added logistics services like customs clearance, warehousing, and last-mile delivery is a plus.
