Job Description

Role & Responsibilities
Purpose: -
This is a key business development role responsible for driving significant revenue growth and providing account management to a strong base of customers to maintain and expand the company’s position as a leader in clinical trial support services.
• Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations. Responsibility for negotiation and closure of proposals with allocated clients.
• Investigate the economic conditions surrounding our business activity such as industry trends and competition.
• Develop and maintain sales operating plan for territory that includes opportunity map, target accounts, forecast, sales strategies and tactics, resource requirements and strategic plan.
• Identify risk areas, and build and manage contingency into the account portfolio and sales/revenue streams.
• Develop value added solutions and partnerships with clients with the service and operational functions to grow and secure revenue.
• Identify & develop market opportunities & capitalizing upon the same to drive organizational growth and enhance market penetration.
• Working & developing new/upcoming business verticals.
• Perform competitive analysis in market segments to identify areas of differentiation or areas of opportunities for improvement in the form of enhancements to existing services, new services or new marketing collateral. Understand the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develop sales strategies to respond effectively.
• Ensures that sales operating plan is consistent with overall business goals.
• Ensures that sales pipeline is filled with opportunities at various stages of sales cycle.
• Regularly review forecast, pipeline and sales strategies with management. Ensures that opportunities and leads are pursued in a timely way.
• Clearly and broadly articulate components of negotiated contracts and ensure strong implementation and execution against customer and company expectations; work with assigned Project Manager to ensure smooth handoff and continued account development.
• Cross selling with other related Business Units of Thermofisher Scientific
