Job Description:

The Associate Vice President for Online Student Lifecycle and Operations is responsible for growing enrollments and streamlining associated business processes. This position reports to the Vice President for Online and Continuing Education and leads several teams, including recruitment, retention, business and operations, and project management associated with these areas. The AVP for Online Student Lifecycle and Operations leads continual improvements to the marketing through recruitment funnel, including leading the teams in the consistent use of best practices, establishing and monitoring appropriate staff goals and measurements, leading the creation of documentation and processes to improve student conversion. This position is also responsible for improving and maintaining a high level of accuracy in budgets and projections, running profit and loss statements, and the creation of associated dashboards and budget-related data visualizations. The AVP has a high-level of literacy in the use of recruitment and marketing-related technologies, including CRMs, marketing automation, auto-dialer, texting campaigns, webchat, and associated technologies. The AVP works collaboratively with the Executive Director for Strategic and Educational Technologies in order to continuously improve technology behind the “machine” of student lifecycle management, and with the Chief Partnership Officer and Executive Director of Marketing to ensure a high performance on the part of the website and PPC advertising campaigns.

Job Responsibilities:
Leads the Recruitment and Retention teams to high, consistent performance in recruiting, converting, enrolling, and retaining students through graduation (or completion of program). Sets aggressive and achievable enrollment goals, creates processes to continually improve team performance and guides hiring, training, and team evaluations. 25%

Collaborates with OCE IT, Marketing, and others in order to improve the automation, dashboards, and reporting behind the recruitment and retention “machine”. Ensures visibility into status of the marketing to enrollment funnel, deploying and continually improving the technology with OCE IT. Responsible for ensuring the technology is functioning at a high level throughout the funnel through user testing with other departments. Responsible for continual improvements to the CRM, call system, chat, text and others from a functional needs perspective. Maintains high-level currency in CRM and related technologies to this end. Reports to AVP and others on status and improves conversion rates for programs as needed. 35%

Manages Business and Operations office and a lead project manager for projects to improve processes in recruitment and retention and in the business operations. Ensures accurate reporting of financials, leads discussions around strategic investments for products associated with recruitment. Collaborates with Procurement and other LSU-wide departments as needed to support and improve operations within OCE’s Business and Operations department. 25%

Guides strategy around recruitment and retention services. Maintains high level knowledge set of current and emerging best practices. Represents the University with various internal and external stakeholder groups. 15%

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 11+ years of experience.
Specific Experience -
10+ combined years in marketing, recruitment, and enrollment management specific to online programs or corporate online training.

5+ years working with automated technology behind the “sales engine” including CRMs, auto-dialers, texting, webchat, and related integrations with university systems (i.e. SIS, etc.)

3+ years managing a call center, part of a call center, an admissions center, sales center, or similar function.

5+ years collaborating with marketing and IT teams on building an effective recruitment funnel to achieve and maintain high conversation rates, or on CRM development, website development, enrollment management development, or related.

5+ years leading team of 10 or more to operational excellence in student recruitment in fully online programs.

4+ years working at a company or institution supporting 10,000 online learners or more in fully online programs.

Proven experience growing enrollments in online programs.

Proven experience training team, setting aggressive and achievable KPIs, and collaborating with diverse functional teams to support that end.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree with 20+ years of experience.
Specific Experience -
10+ years working in a higher education environment specific to recruitment for online programs and / or for an OPM.

5+ years working with corporate partnerships.

Special or Physical Qualifications:
Per University Policy Statement 18 this position is deemed essential to campus operations and may be required to report to or remain on campus during times of emergency or closure.
